I am a director and at times, a writer, designer, animator, editor, visual illusionist and overall creative... guy. I have a small group of friends - whose unstoppable talents I call upon from time to time, for assistance. They are generally people I've known professionally, personally and grown to trust over a number of years (and sometimes, beers). HardRock Tulsa Branding Spot
Description:
Cherokee Casinos needed a branding spot introducing Tulsa’s new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. An initial pitch and a series of client discussions led to the simple premise that the Hard Rock/Tulsa would be a “one-stop-shop” for fun! Director Bill Aylward developed a storyboard detailing the way by which to deliver this message in 30 seconds.Live-action, CGI and special effects were employed to bring a heightened sense of magic to the Hard Rock experience. Although the brand is target-rich, it was imperative to deliver a spot that retained an appeal to regional sensibilities. Choices in casting and music were made to attract a young, affluent crowd without alienating the pre-existing older clientele.
