Rohan Sabharwal is an independent director based in Mumbai. He has worked on over forty short films and TV commercials as director, producer and editor. A graduate of the London Film School, he has been mentored by BAFTA winning director Mike Leigh (Vera Drake, Naked, Secrets and Lies) and documentary filmmaker Kevin Hull. He ha also worked closely with acclaimed filmmakers including Abbas Kiarostami(Taste of Cherry), Gurinder Chaddha (Bend It Like Beckham), Nick Broomfield (Kurt and Courtney, Biggie and Tupac), Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall), Hollywood cinematographer Tak Fujimoto (Sixth Sense, The Village) and Editor Piertro Scalia (Gladiator). Rohan’s film on cancer research, “Sarah and Wendy”, won the most prestigious Kodak Student Commercial Award in the United Kingdom.

He is currently casting for his upcoming feature film ‘There Are No Americans In Taxis’, a dark comedy about five groups of people in the midst of chaos in Mumbai as all cell phone networks fail.
